InstaPermit (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates instapermit.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.
Information you provide directly: When you sign up or fill out a form on our site, we collect your name, work email address, and trade type. When you connect your building department portal credentials to use InstaPermit, those credentials are stored encrypted and used solely to access permit data on your behalf.
Information collected automatically: We use Google Analytics (GA4), Meta Pixel, and Google Ads tracking to understand how visitors use our site. These tools collect standard web analytics data including pages visited, time on site, general location (city/region level), and device type. This is done via cookies.
InstaPermit uses the building department portal credentials you provide to log in and retrieve permit status on your behalf. These credentials are encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not share them with any third party. We access portals only as needed to provide the service.
Our site uses cookies placed by Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Google Ads. These cookies help us understand site traffic and measure advertising effectiveness. They do not contain personal information beyond what you’ve provided to those platforms directly. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers who help us operate the business:
Each of these providers has their own privacy policy governing their use of data.
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below. Portal credentials are deleted immediately upon account cancellation.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request deletion of that information, and opt out of any sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@instapermit.com.
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of InstaPermit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
